Rhode Island Daughters are devoted to supporting education through a variety of channels. The Beacon Pole Hill Chapter, NSDAR, sponsored a challenge to shoolchildren in Cumberland to memorize the preamble of the Constitution. Other education-related projects include sponsoring essay contests with a scholarship prize, and adopting classrooms to provide material resources for teachers.

The Hillside School is one of several that have received DAR support for nearly 100 years. RIDAR is proud of its long partnership with Hillside, and enjoys an annual DAR day at the school.
